GSXR750 front-end retrofit

truth be told, the SV is a price-point bike with definite concessions in the name of cost-cutting. the factory SV suspension is way underdamped/undersprung unless you weigh 140lbs! i, along with alot of other SV owners needed to do something about that...the best option: retrofit the front-end from a GSXR sport bike! in my case it's from a 2005 GSXR750. to balance things out, i'm also fitting the shock from a 2007 ZX10R which happens to be sprung for my weight and is the correct length to work w/ the SV suspension unchanged.

in the ensuing time, alot has happened to keep this project from moving forward...got married, went on honeymoon, traveled a BOAT-LOAD for work, and started really ramping up my training mileage for this year's cycling season. now that the weather has turned reasonably good (it's now may) i've gotten the itch to get this thing back on the road.

my heavy training phase for cycling has passed (it's now june), so i finally made time to finish this MF-er! "finish" is a loose definition...i still have to fab up a bracket for my speedo sensor. now that this is done, i've already got plans on my next set of mods: new rear shock from a ZX10R, repaint rear rim & hugger, install fiamm air horns, install chin spoiler.

the full package - looks good, eh?! gotta do something about that back wheel...
