the factory SV saddle & seating-position is designed so that "inseam-challenged" riders can comfortably flat-foot the SV for safety/control when stopped. such a configuration means that long-legged folk such as myself are really scrunched up -- this not good for comfort or control, as my legs are so contorted i cant really apply pressure on the pegs and my knees are really bent. there are numerous articles on the internets that describe how to DIY reshape and modify a saddle, so after reading a few i headed over to the local fabric store to procure needed supplies. yes, i felt like a real He-Man that day -- rest assured that i showed up in my most grimy workshop apparel to show everyone i'm not a regular at the fabric store! |
