SOLD: Vintage Nouvelle Lemania calibre 873 "Seamaster" chronograph VGC (scans) yes, that's right a fairly uncommon vintage Nouvelle Lemania "seamaster" chronograph. this watch features the exact same stainless-steel case as found in the vintage omega seamaster chronographs, it's powered by the same lemania calibre 873 movement as found in the seamaster (also the same movt used in omega speedy "moonwatch" - omega calls it an 861). this example's 873 movement has the proper lemania-signed bridge as one would expect. it's a modern, man-sized case with ~42mm diameter and 22mm lugs. the movement works great -- excellent timekeeping, all of the chronograph functions work correctly, time setting works correctly. the crown @ 10:00 controls the inner timing bezel, which also works perfectly. also note that this example features the proper and original "cross-hatched" crowns. domed acrylic xtal is in excellent condition. overall i'd rate it conservatively in very-good condition, especially considering it's a +30 year old timepiece, but it is not a safe-queen and it has seen use. comes fitted with a sporty strap with contrasting stitching as pictured. asking $1,350 shipped in CONUS, paypal OK. this is honestly a very good deal -- as i said these are quite rare and i've only seen 1 prior example of this watch -- that example is currently selling for US$3,855 so this is $2,500 cheaper! of course, tons of references furnished on request -- i've been a TZ/MWR/WUS/PMWF/etc regular since 1999. enough chatter -- check out the images and judge this watch for yourself.
