the factory headlight wiring is pathetic leading to serious voltage-drop and dimmed headlight output as a result, so a safe upgrade is to replace the entire headlight wiring harness using high-power switching relays and heavy 12-ga wiring throughout. much thanks to d'Ecosse from svrider.com for doing the technical due-diligence to make this upgrade possible and sharing his knowledge gratis! doing this headlight wiring/switching upgrade, along with high-putput halogen bulbs can yield +25% additional light output! much less expensive and less complex than retrofitting a xenon HID projector headlight setup.
the factory shock is sprung for a child's body-weight, the ZX10R shock is sprung just right for me. it's a direct-bolt replacement and a much cheaper upgrade via ebay than an expenive Penske or Ohlins shock -- not as good as those either, but miles ahead of the factory unit. |
