- Case: stainless-steel, ~36mm Ø with fixed strap-bars.
- Precista Watch Company is one of several manufacturers to have produced field-watches for the UK's Ministry of Defence after WW2, generically called "G10s", along with: Smiths, Hamilton, CWC, Pulsar/Seiko, and most recently MWC.
- All G10 field-watches feature engravings on the caseback indicating by whom they were acquired in the Ministry of Defence: W10 = Royal Army, 6BB = Royal Air Force, 0555 = Royal Marines, and 0552 = Royal Navy. So the W10 on this example indicates it is a Royal Army item.
- This particular example is an '82-issue piece, during the Falklands War, with the early thick-case design. I've also included side-by-side images comparing with a later '84-issue CWC with the thinner case design.
- The soldier to whom this was assigned even took the time to sloppily engrave "killer" on the caseback.
- The blue/red/yellow multi-colored strap featured below is a particular regimental strip associated with the UK's Royal Logistic Corps -- click here to see the unit flag with that color combination as the background.
