SOLD: Swiss-made MoD/Mil-diver (ollech-wajs)

ever wanted to have an automatic mil-spec dive watch, but didnt want to spend the premium prices? ever wanted to have a vintage mil-spec dive watch, but didnt want to worry about the lack of water resistance or potentially damaging a rare timepiece?

well, here's your chance to get true mil-spec capabilities combined with mil-style aesthetics in a modern & robust timepiece. on offer is a simply fabulous swiss-made mil-diver using the case from the Ollech & Wajs "Ranger" diver and is fitted with an MoD-style dial with date. the "Ranger" case used by Ollech & Wajs is the same as used on the early MoD-spec issued CWC RN diver, which is the same case as used in the vintage Heuer professional diver from the 70s, which is the same case used in Vollmer's current "nachtschwimmer" dive watch. basically, this is proven and robust watch!

full stainless-steel case is 42mm in diameter and 13mm in thickness with 20mm lugs. secure screw-down crown has smooth and bind-free threading action. this one is fitted with an appropriately robust and proven 25J automatic/hacking eta 2824 movt. uni-directional ratcheting rotating bezel. MoD-spec dial configuration and sabre hand combination are super-legible, and it also features a date-display aperture. note: lume is modest - about what you'd see in a vintage timepiece.

it is a bit more substantial than the current MoD-spec CWC RN diver, which IMO makes this have much better wrist-presence. on the wrist, this piece wears alot like a seiko skx007 diver, but has a hand-windable/hackable swiss movt - nice!

condition is fabulous: easily 95%. asking $235 shipped in CONUS (paypal OK). watch will come fitted with a nice and thick black leather strap w/ SS tang-buckle. tons of flawless references on TZ/WN/MWR/EOT/WUS/SCF/EBAY/etc.

thankx for looking! walter
