FS: vintage Nouvelle Lemania 1341 chrono (a-la Sinn 140) REDUCED on offer is a fantastic Lemania 1341 chronograph. this watch is the predecessor of the legendary Sinn 140-141-142 lineage (also known as the D1 and "veltraumchronograph" having been worn into space by pioneering german astronaut Rheinhard Furrer). as you can see on the dial, this is the impossible-to-find Lemania version featuring the robust Lemania 1341 automatic chronograph movement. incidentally, this movement carries quite a bit of horological DNA from the Lemania 1873 used in Omega's Speedmaster "moonwatch". overall i put this watch as comfortably in EXC+ condition based on the TZ grading scale. if you follow modern watches you may have heard that Sinn just announced a re-edition of the sinn 140 featuring a modern movement based on the 7750 -- why pay thru the nose for something new when you can get an ORIGINAL for a fraction of the cost featuring a much more interesting vintage movement?! specifics about this watch: - man-sized 44mm x 15mm stainless steel case with 22mm lug spacing is in wonderful shape given it's age. there are misc minor scuffs and marks, which should be expected of a vintage tool watch such as this. given the sharpness of the case details, i believe the condition is original/unpolished -- and it looks the business! - original lemania-signed dial is fantastic, with the perfect level of patina that captures the essence of its age. - auxiliary crown at 10:00 is used to rotate the inner timing bezel and functions perfectly. - winding crown at 3:00 was replaced by an aftermarket item at some point during it's long career; however, i have sourced a correct replacement crown + stem (made by omega fwiw) that are still in the mfg packaging and ready to be installed. - crystal is in excellent condition, i can see no scratches or scuffs or marks of any sort. - all timekeeping/setting/chronograph/resetting functions work 100% perfectly and the watch keeps great time and the autowinding feature is pretty handy, too. - comes fitted with a brand-new/unsized sporty black rubber strap with deployant-clasp as shown. will also include a very thick and robust panerai-style croco-grain calfskin strap as pictured. this is a very handsome and interesting and quite honestly impossible-to-find timepiece. originally asking $1875, but now reduced to $1750 -- shipping inclusive in CONUS, PP ok w/o additional fees, i've been on TZ/ebay/etc since before 2000 with TONS of FLAWLESS references furnished on request. check out the pics for yourself:
