SOLD: classy vintage Hamilton...their FIRST automatic...EXC (re-listed, REDUCED)

last buyer flaked out, so it's still available...

on offer is a fabulous vintage Hamilton automatic, featuring what is the first automatic movement that Hamilton offered in a wristwatch.

the watch is in fabulous condition for a watch from the early '50s. full stainless case still has sharp edges and corners. dimensions: 34mm x 10mm x 18mm lugs. nicely aged dial has that perfect vintage patina with an interesting guilloche-style texture on the band under the hour markers. polished metal markers are a nice touch. domed acrylic xtal is perfect. hamilton signed dial, crown, and caseback.

the longines 672 movement is their first automatic movement used in a wristwatch, and is based on the ETA 1256 movement. movement is super-duper clean and keeps great time.

one interesting note is the configuration of the crown - given that it was hamilton's first automatic, the wanted to highlight that feature by tucking the crown in a little to show the user that: "hey, it's an automatic...you wont be needing this silly thing!"

fitted with a new leather strap. asking $295 reduced to $245 shipped in CONUS. paypal OK, no extra fees. tons of flawless references furnished on request. enough blabber...check out the pics and see for yourself. great opportunity to add a classy, and very interesting, vintage hamilton to your collection and honor the lost tradition of american horology!

thanks for looking!
