i've got a fabulous vintage Bulova Accutron Deep-Sea diver on offer. if you're unfamiliar with Bulova's Accutron technology, it's a truly innovative transitional technology that bridged the gap between the classic mechanical movement and the soon-to-dominate quartz technology. using an intriguing electrically powered "tuning-fork" technology, it is truly a legendary piece of horological history.
this particular piece is the "Deep-Sea" diver model from '71 and was originally rated to 666ft of water resistance in it's day. features include:
- stainless-steel case/caseback (40mm x13.5mm), N1 date-code (1971), serial#2224xx - in truly excellent condition, in particular for a 33-year old watch!
- proven caliber 218 tuning-fork movement - runs strongly and keeps excellent time! quickset day/date mech is fully functional.
- super legible dial is in NM condition w/ barely perceptible fading. heck, even the hands and markers are still luminous!
- bi-directional diver's bezel.
- domed acrylic crystal is in fabulous condition, with small marks @ 10:30.
- in addition, this piece comes fitted with a brand new twin-ridge strap in black calfskin _and_ a matching NOS Accutron-signed stainless bracelet w/ deployant clasp.
